Every order comes with

  • A print-ready PDF, A4 or US Letter
  • MusicXML, to open and edit in MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale or Dorico
  • MIDI, to hear it and to practise along with
  • One round of corrections after you see the proof

Usually 5 to 10 working days. Need it sooner? Rush is +50%, within 3 working days.

What can be made, and what it costs

Fixed prices in Australian dollars, including GST. The quote says exactly what yours will cost before anything starts.

  • Engraving or clean-up of an existing score

    A$40 a page (minimum A$60)

A scan, photocopy, handwritten manuscript or messy file typeset again as a clean, even, readable score. Nothing about the music changes.

  • Easy piano or solo arrangement

    from A$120

A piece arranged for one instrument at the level you ask for: easy piano, a beginner violin part, a solo guitar version.

  • Voice and piano, or a lead sheet

    from A$150

A melody with words and a piano accompaniment, or a lead sheet with the tune, the words and chord symbols.

  • SATB choir or small ensemble

    from A$300

Four-part choir, a string quartet, a wind trio or a school band: a full score and a separate part for each player.

  • Transposition of an existing engraving

    A$30

A score you already have in MusicXML (or one engraved here) moved to another key, checked for awkward notes and re-spaced.

How it goes

  1. Send the details

Say what the piece is, who will play it and what you have of it. Attach the score, a recording or a file if you have one.

  2. Get a fixed quote

A reply within two working days with a price and a date. Nothing is charged until you accept it.

  3. See a proof

Half the price starts the work. You see the score before it is finished, and say what to change.

  4. Get the files

The PDF, MusicXML and MIDI arrive by email once the rest is paid.

Open one to see the full score, hear it played and print it. Custom orders are engraved the same way, without the site’s name on the page.

Whose music can be arranged

  • Public-domain music: old pieces whose composer died long ago. In Australia that is generally a composer who died before 1955; elsewhere the rule can differ. Anything can be done with these.
  • Your own music, or music you hold the rights to. Anything can be done with these too.
  • A song still under copyright (most popular music, film and show tunes, modern hymns and worship songs). Arranging, transcribing or transposing it needs permission from whoever owns it, usually its publisher, even when the copy is only for you or your choir. Get that licence first, or ask in your request and you will be pointed to where licences are usually found. Without one, the request is quoted only as an engraving of music you have the right to copy.

This is a plain summary to help you choose, not legal advice. Engraving or arranging a piece for you does not grant any rights in it.
